Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Position : DHH Teacher
Location : Oakland, Ca (94608)
Duration : 2024 / 2025 School Year; Full Time 32.5 hours per week
Caseload : K-2 caseload, though currently there are only kindergarteners in need.

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in various settings.
- Use diverse teaching strategies and technologies.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families.
- Conduct assessments and adjust instruction.
- Advocate for student needs and provide resources.
- Stay updated on best practices and legal requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language ( ASL ).
- Strong understanding of hearing impairments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with diverse student needs preferred.
