My client is a leading provider of roofing and waterproofing solutions, specializing in large-scale commercial projects. With a proven track record of success and a commitment to quality workmanship, they are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Estimator to join there team.

Job Summary :

The Roofing Waterproofing Commercial Estimator will play a crucial role in the company's growth by accurately estimating the cost of roofing and waterproofing projects ranging from $3 million to $30 million.

This individual will be responsible for reviewing project specifications, conducting site visits, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Analysis : Carefully review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documentation to understand project scope, requirements, and potential challenges.
• Site Visits : Conduct thorough site inspections to assess existing conditions, identify potential issues, and gather necessary measurements for accurate estimating.
• Cost Estimation : Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, using industry-standard estimating software and techniques.
• Bid Preparation : Assemble comprehensive bid packages, including project estimates, scope of work, and supporting documentation, to submit to clients.
• Client Communication : Effectively communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements, address questions, and negotiate contract terms.
• Project Management Support : Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth project execution, provide technical expertise, and assist with change order management.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and building codes to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing and waterproofing estimating.
• Strong understanding of roofing and waterproofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimating software, such as RSMeans, PlanSwift, or similar programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
