About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Stepdown Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 hours, Night Shift, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, every other weekend, every other holiday Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : - Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience - Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical and telemetry experience - Experience with neuro care, myocardial infarctions, and tracheostomies License : Registered Nurse License Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Must-Have : - Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips - Pass telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or better - Experience with automated medication dispensing systems Job Description : - Care for a mixed patient population including IMCU, neurology, and med-surg patients - Work in a 27-bed unit with a high number of IMCU patients - Provide care for patients with chronic ventilators, tracheostomies, and high acuity heart failure - Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 3 for IMCU cases and 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 for med-surg level care - Collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality patient care in a diverse and fast-paced environment
