Safety Office Administrative and Operations Coordinator

The LBRE Safety Office is a team of dedicated professionals who assist employees with reducing health and safety risks associated with their work.
We coach and train employees to integrate practical health and safety principles and compliance obligations into all aspects of our business.
We have an immediate position for a Safety Office Administrative Coordinator!
What you will do in this role :
- Provide administrative or operational support with limited supervision.
- Act on behalf of the supervisor, department manager, or chair in regard to establishing priorities and identifying and resolving administrative problems.
- May represent the program or function as a key contact and subject matter expert within the department.
- Oversee and / or perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex conferences, seminars, and events.
- Manage and execute training coordination, tracking, and recordkeeping using University and vendor learning management systems (LMS).
- Compose and draft documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports.
- Create complex reports and spreadsheets which may utilize specialized software and systems.
- Coordinate and monitor routine maintenance services completion.
- May lead staff or supervise day-to-day work of student and / or temporary workers.
- Other duties may also be assigned
The successful candidate will embrace the following :
- High School diploma and four years of administrative experience, or combination and equivalent experience.
- Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite, other office software, and email applications.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment routinely and independently in making decisions.
- Preferred Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification and project management software but not required.

Physical Requirements* :
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sitting.
- Occasionally stand / walk, reach / work above shoulders, and lift / carry objects up to 25 lbs.
- Rarely twist / bend / stoop / squat, kneel / crawl.

The expected pay range for this position is $33.17 - $43.75 per hour.
