Sales Manager

Outside Sales Greenville, South Carolina Minimum Experience Manager / Supervisor Continental Engines, a local distributor for power equipment and industrial engines, generators, and pumps, is currently recruiting a Sales Manager Industrial Engines based in the Greenville, SC area.

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-reliant problem solver with excellent time management and organizational skills.

This is a sales position responsible for sales in and around the Eastern region of the United States.

This position will require :

  • Extended travel within sales region.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with the support of management and administrative staff.
  • Ongoing sales, product, and leadership training.
  • Willingness to prospect, cold call, qualify customers, and assess their needs through solution-based sales is a daily function of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Budgetary : Annual forecasting for sales region by customer. Achieve / exceed target revenue and sales goals. Monthly sales performance reporting.

Accurately keep all expense records on a weekly basis.

Activity : Proactively prospect, cold call by phone, Zoom and Team meetings; set virtual and in-person meetings with decision makers.

Must conduct business in a professional manner and always represent the company with a high degree of confidence and a positive attitude.

Provide an action plan that will be measured and tracked in the company CRM to achieve your own sales goals.

External : Monitor and respond to OEMs requests. Manage Portal site (or other Business to Business site) to maintain daily activities.

Extensive CRM management including ability to pull key accounts and reports. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers and team members.

Will prepare and make formal presentations to customers as required.

Account Management / Business Development : Continually secure new sales orders, re-activate dormant accounts; grow and maintain customer open order banks for all Industrial products.

Improve and maintain customer satisfaction and trust by communicating the Company's value as a supplier. Conduct regular visits to OEMs.

Intervene in accounts receivable issues as needed.

Marketing / Sales : Participate in trade shows as needed.

Position Requirements :

  • OEM / Industrial sales experience : 5 years preferable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High achiever with goal-setting abilities.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical capability - be able to sell the solution.
  • Collaborative working style with a strong ability to work with multicultural teams.
  • Track record of successfully accomplishing goals within a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong computer skills : Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM software preferred.
  • Ability to execute video conferences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Domestic and international travel as needed (up to 20%) for site visits to OEMs, dealers, retail customers, vendors.
  • Current Drivers License required.
