Duties and Responsibilities :

The Nurse Practitioner may function within any program operated by Sierra Health & Wellness (SHW) in accordance with State licensure, Programs operated by SHW include residential substance use treatment facilities, day treatment programs, and intensive outpatient programs.

The Nurse Practitioner will be primarily responsible for overseeing medical management of clients with substance use disorder, mental health conditions, and chronic medical conditions in accordance with standardized procedures and that of supervising physician staff.

The Nurse Practitioner will assess clients, initiate, or modify treatment within his / her scope of practice and seek consultation with supervising physician staff when clinically indicated.

The Nurse Practitioner will participate in treatment team meetings with multidisciplinary staff members and participate in treatment planning for assigned clients.

Services provided by the Nurse Practitioner will primarily be provided in-person but may be delivered virtually when necessary.

Education & Qualification Requirements :

• At least 1 year of on the job experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Current Registered Nursing (RN) License required
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University required
• Master's Degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Active registration as a Nurse Practitioner by the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Certification from a national accrediting body, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) (e.g. Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, etc.

• Active Nurse Practitioner Furnishing license, or eligibility within 90-days of hire
• Active DEA number, or eligibility within 90-days of hire

Hourly - $65.38-$98.08.
