The Test Technician position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical / electronic equipment.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
- Maintain an acceptable safety record.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Willing to learn to test and troubleshoot various products as required.
- Completes necessary training to maintain knowledge and skills required for job performance.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Position requires overtime to production schedules and demands.
- Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Self-monitor work progress against fast-paced area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work.
- Assist with area efficiency and S improvement projects.
- Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed within the scope of expertise.
- Perform maintenance and alteration tasks in accordance with the current technical data provided in the
- manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, services bulletins, service letters, airworthiness
- directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
- Complete work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures, with limited supervision.
- Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Approximately % sitting and % standing / walking about in-door Company facilities.
- Lift and carry up to lbs.
- Use hand tools, and power tools.
- Use head and neck in static position, looking up / down and side-to-side.
- Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
- Perform light lifting from floor, table, and shelf.
- Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded, and unloaded.
- Minimal : heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders,
- kneeling.
- Minimal : exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking
- surfaces
Job Specifications
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certifications : N / A
- Years of Experience : - years prior work experience in an electronics Manufacturing / Testing environment
Skills :
- Ability to utilize manual and automated test equipment to test digital and analog circuitry.
- Ability to read schematics and understand the circuit function.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in technical terms both verbally and in writing.
- Ability operates environmental test chambers.
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Must be computer literate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
