Benefits Program Manager, North America

The Benefits Team for North America at IDEXX selects, implements, and supports Core Benefits (e.g., medical, dental, vision, retirement), Lifestyle Benefits (fertility, remote Physical Therapy, Family Friendly, etc.

and point solutions for all US and Canada employees. The Benefits Team is also responsible for maintaining all benefits through configuration, testing, and administration in the current HR Information System Workday.

This position will be involved in a variety of benefits areas including technology, program and vendor management, analytical projects, compliance, and customer service.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • You will lead Compliance activities for Benefits plans including 5500s, mental health parity, transparency laws requirements, ACA reporting (federal and state), various required filings and reports
  • You will have the Benefits Admin role for HR Information System of record (Workday)
  • You will manage all Canada Benefits Programs, including vendors and consultants
  • You will manage specific programs and vendor relationships in the US
  • You will work with the HR Technology Team, Total Rewards Team, and the Operations Team to support all benefits programs in North America
  • You will be an integral team member for US Benefits Annual Open Enrollment
  • You will partner with Communications to improve ongoing education and awareness

What You Need To Succeed :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ Years of experience with Benefits Programs
  • HR Systems knowledge in Benefits (Workday benefits build and testing required)
  • Expert US Benefits Program knowledge for core programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, etc.) and lifestyle benefits (knowledge of Canada benefits a plus)
  • Strong background in benefits compliance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects at once
