Skills
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design in the building services and construction industry
- Experience with projects in Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and / or Stadiums preferred
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit
- Familiarity with computational analysis tools for electrical fault analysis and lighting design
- Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems
- Strong client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to problem solve and summarize benefits and shortfalls of solutions
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients, architects and other engineers as part of a dedicated team
- Produce coordinated detailed design drawings, models, specifications, and reports
- Organize technical and financial proposals for new work
- Manage workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians
- Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions
- Prepare Technical Specifications
- Monitor financial performance of jobs
- Keep senior staff informed of important service / design decisions
- Mentor junior Electrical Engineers
- Plan and manage personal workload to meet deadlines
- Proactively raise concerns regarding workload
- Actively contribute towards delivering profitable projects
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design
- Relevant bachelor or master’s degree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification desirable
- LEED AP accreditation preferred
