The role of the Director of the Emergency Services Department assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care- in the Emergency Department.
Will look at strong managers operating a lot like a director. Need to have ED director manager experience (and preferably behavioral health experience as hospital closed that had 54 behavioral beds and get a lot of BH patients).
Current vacancy 50% thru system resource and agency staff; has hired new grads who started. Have 2 CNCs now; 1 day and 1 night.
FTEs : should be 42 people; have 21 currently. RNs, LVNs, PCPs; almost all RNs filled. Physician engagement : pretty good- have Medical Director super engaged and works well with BH patients;
getting his team / follow protocols; Patient Experience : low around 64th% higher than been; RN-BSN, prior ER experience as Manager or Director 3-5 years.
