Wastequip's Confab Brand is hiring for a Forklift Operator / Material Handler in our Sun Valley, CA manufacturing location.

This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation / Sick time, and so much more.

The Material Handlers duties can include any of the following : transport all product and component materials by forklift or dolly to and from warehouse.

The Material Handler also assists in ensuring that all shipping orders and deliveries are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Unload truck deliveries within time allotted
• Dispatch trucks with inbound deliveries for reloading within time allotted unless the product is not available
• Expedite urgent loads to customers and other company locations when necessary
• Ensure all shipments are loaded, packed and secured correctly (using buckle or ratchet strapping)
• Ensure all Bills of Lading (BOL) are signed, dated and paperwork is filed appropriately
• Verify serial numbers, size, color and configuration of particular loads
• Record shipment with photographs depicting (Back of the trailer, BOL in a clear manner)

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required (can be obtained onsite)
• Must be able to push / pull equipment up to 100lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Competent math skills
• Ability to perform duties independently with little supervision
• Ability to use copier, calculator, electronic scales, etc
• Ability to keep all product / material in its proper place at all times, including racks, production floor, and staging areas
• Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards per 5(S) Standards
• Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
