Chief Operating Officer

Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland.

Our Richmond office is currently looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee Baskervill’s operational tasks, including all design methodologies, design solutions, and prospects.

What you’ll be doing :

• Lead Principals and Directors of Operations, Quality, CA, and Specifications,
• Manage and lead employees to ensure efficiency across multiple office locations in different time zones,
• Develop training and mentorship programs and initiatives, including programs for leadership,
• Develop annual business plans, strategies, and methodologies necessary for the ongoing growth and development of the firm,
• Work closely with the CEO and other leaders to support firm initiatives,
• Partner with internal / external resources to promote the use of technology throughout the firm that drive quality, efficiency, and design excellence.

Here’s what you’ll need :

• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred,
• 10+ years of experience in an Operations Executive role in AEC firms,
• Excellent leadership, managerial, and business skills,
• Experience working for multi-state organizations,
• Proven experience in profitable operational leadership and management,
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner,
• Proficient in Deltek Vantagepoint, Microsoft Office Suite or related software; Excel proficiency a must.
