REGISTERED NURSE - RADIATION ONCOLOGY (PART TIME)

UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology Clinic .
Radiation Oncology RNs provide care to patients of all ages undergoing radiation therapy for cancer.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday - Friday, with some call responsibilities on weekends
- Day shifts
- RNs work a mix of 3 day workweeks and 4 day workweeks
- Position is part time / 75% FTE
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Educate patients and their families on symptom management
- Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care referrals
- Support patients undergoing TBI prior to transplant
- Document patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic)
- Perform phone triage
- Answer patient calls and eCare messages
- Monitor patient flow in the clinic
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of current or recent oncology, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- Active BLS
- Must be willing to work with pediatric patients
- Must be willing to become PALS certified within 1 year of hire
