WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Nurse Manager (NM) at Frontier Direct Care (FDC) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality member care and ensuring the continuous professional growth of Medical Assistants (MAs).
The NM is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, managing practice communications, coordinating population health initiatives, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
This position requires a nursing license in the state of Texas (LVN or RN) with strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining an elevated standard of care.
- Manage and supervise up to 8 MAs to ensure efficient and effective practice operations.
- Support MAs in performing triage, delegated duties, and patient care.
- Oversee communications directed to the practice, including email, fax, and phone.
- Coordinate vaccine supply and storage.
- Oversee practice inventory, supply management, and billing reconciliation.
- Research, plan, and coordinate interventions to improve practice population health.
- Monitor practice-wide data related to health goals.
- Plan and implement population health interventions.
- Lead MA skills based training and ensure ongoing professional development.
- Conduct regular 1 : 1 meetings with MAs and provide accountability and mentorship.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, medical records standards, and BLS requirements.
- Maintain strict adherence to healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Act as a liaison between MAs and the Lead Primary Care Provider (LPCP).
- Participate in practice L10 meetings to align goals and initiatives.
- Report directly to the Lead PCP on practice operations, staff performance, and patient care quality.

- Must have a minimum of 2 years as a registered LVN or RN and active license in the state of practice (Texas)
- Must have 2+ year of management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and safety
