Weare seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician(Union) to join our team. As an Apartment Maintenance Technicianyou will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation andmaintenance of our residential properties.
This role requires astrong attention to detail excellent problemsolving skills and acommitment to providing exceptional customer service to ourresidents.
Responsibilities
Inspect andRepair : Regularly check apartments and common areas fixingmaintenance issuespromptly.
Routine Fixes : Handle plumbing electrical HVAC and appliance repairs plusemergencyrequests.
ResidentRequests : Respond quickly and courteously to repair requestskeeping detailed records of all workdone.
Turnovers andUpkeep : Assist with apartment turnovers maintain the grounds andcommon areas and perform necessary painting and janitorialduties.
Coordinate andCollaborate : Work with contractors for specialized repairs andparticipate in preventative maintenanceprograms.
Safety andEmergency Ready : Know emergency shutoff systems and proceduresparticipate in safety programs and be oncall for afterhoursemergencies.
Organize andInventory : Keep maintenance areas clean and stocked maintaining anadequate supply of parts andmaterials.
Requirements
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GEDequivalent.
- Certificationin HVAC plumbing or electrical systemspreferred.
- Experiencein general maintenance and repair work preferably in a residentialsetting.
- Proficientknowledge of building systems including plumbing electrical andHVAC.
- Strongproblemsolving and troubleshootingskills.
- Abilityto effectively communicate with residents contractors and teammembers.
- Excellenttime management and organizationalskills.
- Abilityto lift heavy equipment and work in various weatherconditions.
- BasicUniversal License (may be completed within the first year ofemployment).
- Three(3) years experience in buildingmaintenance.
- Selfinitiativein performing required duties andtasks.
- Goodverbal and written language skills in the primary language of theproperty location (e.g. Spanish in Puerto Rico English in thecontinental UnitedStates).
- Understandingand consideration of the type of circumstances associated withworking with the elderly andhandicapped.

Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. Certificationin HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred. Experience ingeneral maintenance and repair work, preferably in a residentialsetting.
Proficient knowledge of building systems, includingplumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Strong problem-solving andtroubleshooting skills.
Ability to effectively communicate withresidents, contractors, and team members. Excellent time managementand organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and workin various weather conditions. Basic Universal License (may becompleted within the first year of employment).
Three (3) yearsexperience in building maintenance. Self-initiative in performingrequired duties and tasks. Good verbal and written language skillsin the primary language of the property location (e.
