As an Inland Marine Underwriter, you'll develop, grow and maintain a diversified book of business while working closely with agents and brokers and teammates to assess risks, determine premiums, set conditions and negotiate deals that maximize profitability and meet our shared business goals.

As part of the underwriting strategy, you'll ensure a profitable book of Inland Marine business and growing successful agent and broker relationships.

You'll work with our risk engineers and account assistants to crunch the numbers and review the data to make an underwriting decision to proceed and develop terms and conditions, as well as identify new customer opportunities for growth, profit and diversification.

You'll maintain and nurture successful relationships with agents and brokers, while presenting proposals, negotiating deals and obtaining approvals.

Contributing to overall team success, you will share success and opportunities while continuously improving yourself and our team.

Understanding the importance of the underwriting process, you'll document your business and follow underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications : Experience :

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Inland Marine or multi-line insurance products
• A desire to interact with brokers, agents and Liberty customers

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
