About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Critical Care Unit (CCU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, every other weekend required, holidays as needed, no on-call required Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2+ years of strong experience in critical care and med / surg License : Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications : BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, Telemetry certification or competency exam Must-Have : - High acuity care experience with a patient ratio of 1 : 1 to a maximum of 1 : 3 - Must be able to float to other ICU units - Covid care experience required Job Description : - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments - Initiate assessments based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions - Manage care of patients - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
