Position Overview :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team to work 1 : 1 in a special education classroom and 1 : 1 in-home after school.
You will play a crucial role in implementing behavior intervention plans, supporting children in their daily activities, and helping them achieve their developmental goals.
Candidate must be comfortable with assisting with daily living skills such as toileting, showering etc.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children in school settings during school hours and in-home after school.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Collect and record data on the child’s progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the ABA team to ensure consistent and effective therapy.
- Assist in creating a positive and encouraging learning environment for the child.
- Adapt and modify activities to meet the needs of each child.
- Attend regular team meetings and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with ABA principles and techniques is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation to travel between school and home settings.
