Fall 2024 Fire and Life Safety Director *Sign-On Bonus* (Full Time and Part Time)
Alliance has several Full / Part Time, and Weekend positions available.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULES
- Pay : $27 / hour
- Sign On Bonus : $2,500 (ONLY Alliance New Hires are Eligible)
- Schedules : All Days / All Shifts
Position Overview :
As a Fire & Life Safety Director at Alliance Security, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our tenants and visitors at any of our Class A Commercial Properties.
This position requires a valid F-89 certification + a valid NYS Security Guard License . You will be responsible for overseeing fire safety and life safety operations, developing and implementing emergency response plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary point of contact for all fire and life safety matters within the assigned properties.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety and emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular fire drills, training sessions, and safety inspections to ensure preparedness and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Manage fire safety systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems, and ensure their proper maintenance and functionality.
- Coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency response agencies in the event of an emergency.
- Maintain accurate records of all fire safety activities, including drills, inspections, and incident reports.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with property management to address fire safety concerns and implement necessary improvements.
- Ensure the proper training of building staff and emergency response teams in fire safety protocols.
- Respond to and manage emergencies in a calm and effective manner, providing leadership and direction during crises.
- The role also requires execution of various Security Officer responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications :
- Valid F-89 Certification (required). It must be valid for 6 months past hire date.
- Valid NYS Security Guard License (required). It must be valid for 3 months past hire date.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire & Life Safety Director in a NYC Commercial Properties.
- Thorough knowledge of NYC fire safety codes, regulations, and building systems.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Strong customer services approach when interacting with public.
