MBS is hiring Maintenance Technician for a great client in Fairfield, OH. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Quickly respond to machine breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary repairs.
• Observe machines regularly to detect potential failures and address them proactively.
• Apply safety rules and take immediate action in case of a detected dangerous situation.
• Ensure all safety devices on machines are operational before restarting.
• Propose improvements to preventive maintenance procedures for enhanced efficiency.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks according to established practices and procedures.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and determine the necessary repairs, consulting equipment manuals as needed.
• Order supplies and materials required for repairs and maintenance activities.
• Participate in line quick response quality control initiatives.
• Perform assigned responsibilities with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.)

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED. Welding Certificates preferred
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions.
• Previous experience with lathes, mills, and grinders, the ability to mig, tig arc weld.
• Willingness to cooperate and work in a strong team environment.
• Follow proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to lift 32 pounds.
• Moderate physical effort is required to move containers.
• Ability to walk, stand, and carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders and equipment.
• Ability to operate in repetitive motions.
• Inside conditions not required to remain outside.
• Exposed to heat at times during summer months.
• Exposed to some processing oils and weld sparks.
• Upper noise levels requiring hearing protections.
• Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hat are required at all times.
• Kevlar sleeves and gloves will be provided to prevent exposure of steel and weld sparks onto skin.
