As a SeniorEmbedded Software Developer, you willbe responsible to :

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for critical care diagnostics products with multi-core processors and / or heterogeneous multi-processor systems.
  • Implement embedded software with digital signal processing algorithms including driver development and driver integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and test software and hardware using embedded tools and lab equipment.
  • Perform embedded software testing and verification as required for software releases per plan.
  • Compile technical documentation of software features and functionality to establish that the embedded software is meeting system functional requirements.
  • Assist with software architecture definitions and software design planning activities.
  • Proactively collaborate with other technical teams as needed to ensure that the embedded software meets system performance and quality requirements.

  • Embedded software and application development and design of associated software architectures.
  • Experienced with debugging embedded hardware and software interfaces utilizing lab tools and applications.
  • Knowledgeable in developing embedded software applications in a multi-threading environment.

Required skills forthe success in this role :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer / electrical / electronic engineering, math / physics, or related discipline and / or an equivalent combination.

Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience; minimum 5 years as senior embedded software developer.
  • C++ programming in embedded and real-time OS, in-depth knowledge of embedded architectures, ability to analyze code for implementing optimizations.
  • Experience with data Acquisition or real-time systems control / programming, lower and high-level protocols, including wireless such as Bluetooth and Ethernet, serial interfaces SPI, I2C.
  • Experience with POSIX-compliant real-time operating systems preferably QNX.
  • Device driver development experience and familiarity with FPGA programming a plus.
  • Experience with software development in highly regulated operating environment such as FDA / ISO / GMP
