Job Description Summary
Candidates should be innovative energetic educators with three to five years of experience teaching adult learners in healthcare.
Experience within Learning Management Systems such as D2L, or Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, Instructure Canvas is helpful.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience teaching healthcare subjects to today’s multi-generational learners.
Minimum Qualifications :
Active Licensed Practical Nursing License.
Experience teaching diverse adults.
Experience developing training materials.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High level of computer & technical competency.
Knowledge of state standards and testing requirements for CNA and healthcare programs.
Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.
Available to conduct training during weekdays or evenings.
Working knowledge of using instructional software (D2L helpful.)
Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of specific discipline; (2) experience designing training materials; (3) a deep commitment to education and professional development;
and (4) proficient use of technology.
Adjunct instructors require strong communication skills and the ability to provide hands-on skills training to students related to clinical and general nursing guided by an LPN.
3-5 years of current Registered Nurse (RN) with experience providing instruction to Nursing Assistants. Current Basic Life Support card (American Heart Association).
Knowledge of Practical Nursing theory, skills and clinical experience.
