Job Description
McCormick Taylor is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Manager in the Traffic Engineering discipline with a Pittsburgh, PA market focus in a hybrid work environment.
The successful candidate will serve as Project Manager or Lead Traffic Engineer on projects involving planning, analysis, and design of engineering projects.
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills. Leads projects meetings and gives technical presentations
- Marketing efforts including meeting with clients and teaming partners
- Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for assignments
- Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas
- Mentors and trains supporting staff necessary to complete assignments
- Helps promote company fiscal and hiring goals
- Assists with employee reviews
- Performs invoicing, status reports, tracks accounts receivable, and related accounting needs
- Routinely contributes to project and staffing backlog projections
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- A Pennsylvania PE and / or PTOE license is required
- 15+ years experience in a similar position or equivalent working knowledge / experience in the field of traffic engineering
- Direct experience with PennDOT and / or PA Turnpike design criteria, standards and procedures
- Hands-on experience with common traffic engineering software including Synchro, VISSIM, HCS, Microstation
- Traffic signal design experience on PennDOT projects
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and be accountable for project / task schedules and budgets
- Experience and expertise in project management
