Job Description :

Join us as we continue to transform Western Canada by enriching and transforming its cities, towns and neighbourhoods. Parsons has been a leader in the design and delivery of municipal civil infrastructure for 80 years and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to build our team in Alberta and British Columbia.

We have excellent working relationships with municipalities throughout AB and BC, and we are looking for a strong manager with the technical expertise to lead projects and manage teams of engineers and designers.

We are seeking people who demonstrate technical excellence, with experience delivering complex projects, while controlling schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate will also have experience managing people and building teams. They will also have local experience with municipal clients, and knowledge of their standards, contracts and policies.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Manage project and program schedules and budgets.
  • Define program and project goals and methods to accomplish them.
  • Acts as the Parsons representative with client and subconsultants during the project delivery.
  • Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subconsultants.
  • Develop new business by client knowledge, liaison and leading proposal teams.
  • Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through the application of Parsons internal processes.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
  • PEng registration with APEGA.
  • Alberta project experience is required, with BC experience desirable.
  • 15+ years of municipal design and leadership experience; design-build experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
