Job Summary :

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Associate (CLA) 2, whom will report to the Supervisor of the VUMC Diagnostic Anatomic Pathology Laboratories Gross Room, and whom will have responsibility performing all routine activities connected with duties of the diagnostic Anatomic Pathology laboratories.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory of supplies and cleaning glassware with regular guidance. The CLA 2 performs accessioning, customer service functions including telephone etiquette, as well as basic troubleshooting and problem resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Receives and triages specimens.
  • Prepares specimens and patient materials for shipping.
  • Provides general clerical support.
