  • Evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of communication plans, programs, and initiatives by consulting with key stakeholders;
  • soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; applying key learnings from internal and external benchmarking;
  • participating in meetings with assigned functional areas to present status updates on communication processes, requests, and communications sent;

and visiting field leadership to ensure communications are meeting field expectations.

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities;
  • removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly;

developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

  • Develops strategic communications across the business by consulting with leadership and participating in cross-functional teams to determine appropriate communication strategy and evaluate business needs and desired outcomes;
  • ensuring continuity of business plans; serving as a key stakeholder and as a communication subject matter expert in initiatives;
  • drafting, designing, reviewing, and editing communications and presentations; advising on the creation of communication elements related to the divisional plan;

and developing and executing plans to distribute communications.

Provides assistance with communication expertise for the business by managing cross-functional communication teams; creating and providing status updates to key leaders;

counseling functional area leaders and associates on writing and executing effective communications; and managing competing communication priorities for assigned business areas.

  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders;
  • supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives;
  • building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities;

and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition;

and ensuring diversity awareness.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;

utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in communications, journalism, business, or relevant area OR 4 years’ experience in communications, journalism, business, or related area.
