POSITION : Project Manager Aerospace

LOCATION : Jupiter, FL.

STATUS : Salary-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing commercial oversight for Aerospace specific R&D programs, customer tenders, order execution and business plans for Aerospace Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Program lead for all Aerospace commercial operations
  • Track and report Aerospace actual cost center financials relative to monthly budget
  • Coordinate input with sales team for opportunity pipeline in Salesforce
  • Coordinate cost consolidation from external suppliers and the PSM workshop in coordination with PSM Tendering organization in support of internal risk reviews and customer proposals
  • Ensure all contract deliverables and invoicing is satisfied for existing orders.
  • Coordinate project financials with finance team for existing orders
  • Coordinate logistics for contract deliverables to customer with supply chain management
  • Produce monthly operations report for Aerospace business showing status of tenders, ongoing development projects and production costs vs plan.
  • Function as single point of contact between Aerospace customers and PSM for any technical or commercial issues and generic monthly status reporting for existing orders
  • Develop the Three-Year Business Plan alongside Aerospace VP and maintain the plan according to the standard yearly cycle
  • Develop business justifications, project specifications and project plans for all Aerospace R&D or strategic growth initiatives in support of yearly budgeting cycle
  • Support of day-to-day activities, as required
  • Performs other tasks as directed by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred

Skills / Experience

  • 8+ years of applicable experience in the Aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) industry or related manufacturing / repair environments
  • 8+ years of Gas Turbine manufacturing and / or repair experience for compressors, airfoils and / or combustor parts
  • 8+ years of proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or Repair Development projects
  • 8+ years of project management skills
  • Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project or related Project Management software
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
  • 5+ years of experience working on cross-functional reporting teams with global exposure both internally and externally
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership
  • 5+ years of experience representing a company in a commercial environment, presenting directly to customers, sales teams, etc.
  • Ability to work in a professional, friendly, team environment
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Travel may be required at times for customer meetings and supplier visits
