About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum 3 years' experience required

License : Must have active state license in hand or be in application process to apply

Certifications : BLS required; CNOR and CST preferred

Must-Have :

• General OR and Trauma experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Required skills in various surgical procedures including laparoscopic and general surgery
• Required emergency management skills
• Required equipment experience

Description :

This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

The shift is a 5x8-hour schedule.

Experience in the operating room is essential.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a surgical setting.

First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position.

Weekend coverage is required once per month.

On-call duty is required, typically once per week.

The nurse will work with various service lines except cardiovascular.

Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Candidates will float within their skill set as needed.

All requested time off must be reviewed and approved.

Special requirements include experience with specific surgical cases such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and trauma procedures.

The role involves administration of blood products and adherence to infection control protocols.

Candidates must have required knowledge of universal protocols and safety measures.

Please note that this is a sensitive position involving patient care and immediate responsiveness.
