Help us build quality products people love as a Pattern Technician in Randolph, VT at Hearth & Home Technologies. As one of our four core business units, the Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands such as Harman, Vermont Castings, and Quadra-Fire, now united under one as Forge & Flame, alongside other stove brands. This unit focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable stove solutions, including wood, pellet, and gas models.

Our Pattern Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the tooling used to mold our cast iron to produce Hearth & Home Technologies' industry-leading fireplaces, stoves and hearth products. This is an apprenticeship position where you will learn the skills necessary to become an expert in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Stage molding tools for next days' production schedule.

Load tooling into molding cassettes and deliver to molding Department per production.

Unload molding tools from production and remove tooling from cassettes after production requirements are satisfied.

Cut, install, sand and polish gating systems on new molding tools.

Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.

Learn how to perform basic pattern repairs (i.e., replacing in-gates, vents, runners, wipers & cups).

Learn how to identify and resolve molding scrap defects via gating enhancements.
