Position Title : SQL Software Developer

Position Location : Government site in Annapolis Junction, MD

Description :

The selected candidate will support an existing team providing support to the Executive Decision Support System (EDSS).

EDSS provides a corporate solution for integrating budgeting and other financial information across the enterprise.

This effort encompasses the activities necessary to upgrade or modify sustainment systems to proactively implement necessary changes to ensure effective and responsive operations.

Additionally, this effort includes developing and implementing innovative approaches to improve system sustainment to proactively identify and correct potential issues before outages occur, reduce the time required for outages required to implement upgrades, minimize the number of changes required by sustained systems, collect and report metrics describing system availability and usability, and implement process changes focused on improving system sustainment.

• Primary responsibility will be providing application development and production support.
• The position will require working in a fast-paced team and a willingness to take on challenges.
• Experience working in an agile environment will benefit the candidate.
• The tech stack includes SQL Server, C#, Ironspeed, JavaScript, and React or VueJS.
• The position is required to utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment and consistent with CMS' DevOps objectives.

Qualifications :

• Six (6) years of experience in software development / engineering
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline. Four (4) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation

Desired Experience :

• Experience working in an Agile Development environment
• Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment
• Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment including AWS
• Experience with SQL Server
• Experience with C#

Active TSSCI clearance with Full Scope poly
