About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (Staff RN) Job Specialty : Spinal / General Rehabilitation Job Duration : 13-week Contract Shift : Night Shift, 36 hours per week, every third weekend on a three-week rotating schedule Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : License : Registered Nurse License (State-specific or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact) Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.
Must-Have : Job Description : Deliver nursing care to an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.- Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population.
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and / or situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.- Develop a plan prescribing strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan and evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.- Attain knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice.
- Participate in ongoing educational activities related to appropriate knowledge bases and professional issues.- Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through self-reflection and inquiry.
- Identify learning needs based on nursing knowledge and changing needs of the population.- Participate in formal or informal consultations to address nursing practice issues.
- Share educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers.- Contribute to a work environment conducive to the education of healthcare professionals.

- Question the rationale supporting care processes and decisions when they do not appear to be in the patient's best interest.
- Disclose observations or concerns related to hazards and errors in care or practice environment to the appropriate level.
- Maintain communication with other providers to minimize risks associated with transfers and transitions in care delivery.
- Contribute a professional perspective in discussions with the interprofessional team. Education : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
