Job Overview : A law firm is seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration.

The ideal candidate will hold an LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning, possess strong tax skills, and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

The individual should have a collaborative work approach, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.

Connecticut Bar admission is required, and New York Bar admission is preferred.

Duties :

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on estate planning and estate administration matters.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Assist clients in navigating the probate process and administering trusts and estates.
  • Conduct legal research to stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive client service.

Requirements :

  • 2-5 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration.
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred.
  • Connecticut Bar admission (or willingness to become admitted in Connecticut).
  • New York Bar admission is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials, with a focus on tax skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education :

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred.

Certifications :

  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
  • New York Bar admission is preferred.
