Reporting to the VP, CMO, the Director of Clinical Operations provides clinical operational oversight to analyze and evaluate systems, processes / procedures, standards, and to identify opportunities for performance improvement and evidence-based decision making.

He / she works with clinical leaders and clinicians to formulate approaches to and assess / monitor departmental performance;

plan for future growth, design effective alternatives to operational problems, and evaluate the financial impact of such changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Serves as a leader to problem solve, team-build, and develop new initiatives for quality and capacity building to meet increased demand.

Act as key contact for provider and operational leaders.

  • Partners with AVP, Site Operations on all matters pertaining to providers within the clinics to include ensuring resources and operational needs are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and manage the Account Management Portal (AMP) process and other operational details providers needed for hiring and on-boarding.
  • Develops proformas, SWOT analyses, options analyses and business plans to evaluate current operations and / or changes to services and presents present to Executive Leadership.

Evaluates actual performance against approved proformas at regular intervals and oversees the development of corrective action plans when actual performance does not meet expectations.

Prepares forecasts and projections, and analyzes trends in productivity, provider staffing, revenues / expenses and other related areas.

Monitors and propose changes in PCHC provider standards based on benchmarking / comparison with national norms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a physician group practice administrator or business analyst within a healthcare setting. LEAN certification preferred.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of medical group practice operations, finances, physician compensation / incentive plans, and performance improvement.

Well versed on industry metrics / standards and trends for medical group practices.

Ability to perform quantitative analysis on operational problems to assist in evaluating options for decision making.
