Your newpany is a successful and well-renownedpany based in Lancaster, who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant on a part-time basis to join their team.
They are conveniently located just off the M6 and offer flexibility on working hours to amodate your currentmitments.
Your new role
In your new role as Finance Assistant, you will report to the Financial Controller and have full responsibility for the transactional element of the business including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.
For the sales ledger, you will raise all invoices and process proof of delivery notes, posting accrued and prepaid ie at month end as required.
You will perform all credit control, ensuring a strong relationship is maintained with the customers whilst sending out any chasing letters or statements.
You will process all purchase invoices for the depots onto Sage and ensure all invoices are coded accordingly. You will match the invoices to the purchase orders, delivery notes and driver timesheets and produce supplier statement reconciliations, prepare the bi-weekly payment run and process credit card transactions.
This is a part-time role, working 25 hours across the week. You can choose to work either 3 full days or 5 shorter days, if you need to amodate childcare (for example).
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this, you will have experience of working as a Finance Assistant and befortable with purchase ledger and sales ledger as a minimum.
Ideally, you will have Sage experience and be a good user of Excel.
