We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Planner to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and knowledge in intelligence operations and exercise planning within a Joint, MACOM, or ASCC, Corps, or theater staff environment.
This position plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and assessment of exercises and operations within the USARPAC area of responsibility.
As an Exercise Planner, you’ll leverage your extensive background in intelligence, operations, planning, and analysis at both Tactical and Strategic levels.
Your expertise in the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) will be crucial in developing operational concepts to meet Army and Joint training needs.
You'll apply your knowledge and skills in coordinating with Division or Corps stakeholders. This role provides an excellent opportunity to advance your professional growth while continuing to support your country.

- Develop, plan, and execute complex exercise scenarios in support of USARPAC operational objectives.
- Leverage extensive knowledge of Joint, Corps, and Theater ISR assets, capabilities, tasking, and employment to inform exercise planning.
- Apply expertise in Adaptive and Deliberate Planning Processes within headquarters staff Operational Planning Teams.
- Utilize knowledge of Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes and command post exercises (CPX) scenario design to ensure realistic and effective exercise scenarios.
- Brief senior military and civilian leaders on intelligence and exercise-related topics.
Must-Have Requirements :
- 10+ years of experience with intelligence at the Joint, MACOM or ASCC, Corps, or theater staff level.
- Comprehensive understanding of Joint, Corps, and Theater ISR assets, capabilities, and tasking and employment.
- Proficient in Adaptive and Deliberate Planning Processes in headquarters staff Operational Planning Teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes and command post exercises (CPX) scenario design.
- Active TS / SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Desired Qualifications :
- Experience with intelligence operations in the USPACOM area of operations.
- Knowledge of multi-domain battle and cross-domain fires concepts.
- Familiarity with CJCSM 3500.02E or The Joint Training Manual.
- Ability to effectively brief senior military and civilian leaders on intelligence and exercise topics.
- Post-secondary graduate of an Advanced Military Studies Program (AMSP) from the Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or equivalent Command and General Staff College level professional military education.
