Accounting Assistant

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), a planning, engineering, and consulting firm, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support our team as we continue to grow.

As an Accounting Assistant at CMT, flexibility in adapting to a variety of tasks and meticulous attention to detail will be required personal attributes.

Responsibilities will include a wide variety of tasks to support our accounting department functions. A high level of communication skills and being proactive in learning the accounting system is essential, as well as the ability to be trained to handle collections, assist with billing needs, and assist with data integrity.

Activities will include a broad range of general business tasks such as spreadsheet preparation, data entry, filing, copying, documentation retrieval and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

• A two-year associate degree in accounting or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills : multi-tasking, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Ability to work effectively and cooperate with employees and team members
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Experience :

• 2-5 years of previous experience working in an office environment
• Associate's degree in accounting or business
