Duties / Responsibilities Duties / Responsibilities Under the direction of the 4-H County Extension Agent, deliver 4-H positive youth development programming directly to youth. This includes :
- facilitating / teaching 4-H in-school club meetings;
- preparing students for 4-H Project Achievement;
- attending 4-H Summer Camp;
- designing and implementing community service projects; and
- assisting with other 4-H base programming.
Members will assist the 4-H Agent with day-to-day activities involved with providing direct services to youth, such as planning and development of 4-H programming.
Some programming may be delivered in a virtual format. Members will provide transportation to youth. Percentage of time Duties / Responsibilities Support and provide leadership to the county 4-H Volunteer program : recruit, screen, train, and engage volunteers.
The member may assist with coordinating the county volunteer registration database. Halt-time (part-time) members should recruit at least 5 new volunteers during their service.
Percentage of time Duties / Responsibilities Track and document data related to the AmeriCorps performance measures and complete monthly reports, supported by the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator.

The Georgia 4-H AmeriCorps State member provides 4-H programming directly to youth under the direction of the County Extension Agent.
Supervision is also provided by the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator. This includes planning, implementation, and delivery of programming including in-school and after school club meetings, camp, and other 4-H programming delivered in the county as well as volunteer recruitment and transportation of youth.
The member will also assist the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator in collecting required impact data by administering surveys to youth and entering data into provided spreadsheets.
Members must comply with AmeriCorps requirements such as monthly reporting, monthly webinars, and other required trainings.
This posting is for a part-time member serving for months for the period of September 1, 4 August , 5. Members are required to log a total of hours, averaging hours / week, depending on start date.
Relevant / Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position High School diploma or equivalent required.
