Description
Point person for occupancy and space planning for lab facilities within the client portfolio, including office, lab, and support spaces.
Manages all space data in the CAFM system. The senior occupancy planner will perform the following : Drive the development of occupancy plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves as well as facilitate and / or resolve planning issues identified in customer planning meetings.
Ensure that planning is aligned with corporate guidelines and the overall master plan. Assist in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership.
Interface with clients to assess departmental needs and developing solutions that are client focused but adhere to company standards.
Recommend, educate, and enforce space policies / standards, procedures, and protocols.
Responsibilities
Space Data Management Managing space data information flow and audit processes. Preparing and updating status reports on actual seat demand versus projected seat demand;
reporting out on the current supply and capacity and forecast inventory changes to key business stakeholders. Review / refresh information on a quarterly basis with space requirements, headcount, and update plans accordingly.
Standards Development Assist in the development of space utilization standards. Develop and maintain architectural fixtures and finish standards.
Programming & Analysis Analyze departments lab space needs and recommend options with adherence to master plan. Drive the development of occupancy plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves as well as facilitate and / or resolve planning issues identified in customer planning meetings.
Ensure that planning is aligned with corporate guidelines. Assist with space allocations for lab equipment and occupancy moves or changes.
Support Site to site planning Assist with activities around general planning of new lab buildings and spaces from design through construction.
Lab Master Planning - Assist in developing overall master plan for Lab spaces incorporating both short term and long term strategic goals.
Provide space and occupant data (SF, LSF, headcount current and forecasted, adjacencies, etc)
Key Skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD and CAFM systems, and workplace reporting tools
- Understands the end-to-end data validation process. Able to leverage data quality tools to identify and minimize data integrity issues
- Experience in space planning in research and production environment.
- Able to collect business requirements. Identify gaps with current space. Propose options within the existing space in lab and office spaces
- Able to develop and document steps to transform from an existing stacking plan to the proposed plan, including the corresponding changes in capacities.
- Creative and customer focused
- Solid problem solving, customer service and negotiating skills
This position is onsite daily in Cambridge, MA.
