EVmatch is an early-stage EV charging company that makes EV charging profitable in shared spaces and accessible to all drivers.

EVmatch's software platform enables property owners to future proof their properties with an affordable, shared EV charging solution that increases net operating income, resident satisfaction, and community EV charging access.

The EVmatch platform supports residential and commercial charging hosts who leverage the platform for management services, power sharing, and access controls with integrated EV charging equipment.

On the multi-tenant and commercial side of its platform, EVmatch sells EV charging hardware, subscription software, and installation services (through partners) to commercial property managers who are seeking the most affordable and flexible EV charging solution on the market.

This role is focused on selling to multi-family residential property managers, developing strategic business partnerships to increase network growth, and supporting company-wide revenue acceleration.

Position Description :

The Sales Development Representative position has three primary components :

  • Sales development and execution with multi-family and commercial property decision-makers. This includes selling to property owners, managers, HOA boards, asset managers, developers, and community managers.
  • Affiliate and reseller partnership development with electrical installation contractors, project consultants, solar companies, and e-mobility services companies with well-aligned customer audiences
  • Email marketing, content creation, and CRM management

The role requires flexibility, excellent sales and communication skills, strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and teamwork, strategic decision-making skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing business conditions and responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct outbound outreach through email and phone calls to prospect and develop new leads
  • Respond promptly to all inbound leads
  • Maintain existing client relationships and proactively identify opportunities for growth
  • Research target markets and pursue leads to successfully signed quotes and software service agreements
  • Maintain detailed records of customer activity in the CRM platform (Hubspot) and Trello
  • Track goals and progress, and report monthly sales forecast numbers
  • Consistently achieve revenue targets
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure up-to-date product knowledge and successful hand-off from sales to operations
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of internal processesContinually stay in informed and educated on EVmatch’s products, competition, and industry developments

Specific responsibilities include :

Sales Development and Execution (60%) :

  • Develop and qualify prospective multi-family residential and commercial site leads, maintaining a robust lead pipeline
  • Conducting direct phone and email outreach to schedule pitch meetings, maintaining a high level of outbound communication
  • Conduct virtual pitch meetings and demos, showcasing EVmatch’s unique software features
  • Manage CA Energy Commission grant project and other government rebate projects
  • Coordinate with installation partners to provide installation bids to leads
  • Develop bundled quoted quotes and revenue projections for leads
  • Develop automated email marketing campaigns to support sales and partnership development
  • Research new rebate and incentive programs and inform company strategy on key programs and geographies to focus outbound sales efforts
  • Identify and nurture relationships with prospects, consistently closing deals
  • Maintain detailed records of customer communication
  • Adhere to hand-off processes to ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations

Affiliate and Reseller Partnerships (30%) :

  • Conduct outreach to potential partners and resellers, including electrical contractors, electricians, wholesale electrical suppliers, solar companies, and other related industry targets
  • Develop mutual business partnerships to drive sales growth
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and executive teams to continually develop and shape EVmatch’s channel sales programs

Email Marketing, Content Creation, and CRM Management (10%) :

  • Create bulk marketing and one-on-one sequenced email campaigns to engage leads and inform about new rebates programs and offerings
  • Write quarterly blog posts
  • Create, maintain, and update sales decks as necessary
  • Create and update sales flyers as necessary
  • Serve as primarily CRM leader within the company and serve as an internal resource to team
  • Maintain consistent communication of current sales enablement resources to all internal staff and ensure proper version control
  • Contribute creative content ideas and generate content aligned with the company's brand

Required Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in related industries
  • Proven ability to generate leads, execute a full sales cycle, and manage sales pipeline
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and adaptability
  • Team-oriented approach with strong organizational skills. Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and interest in working remotely and proficiency in technology tools

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of EV charging equipment and industry
  • Basic understanding of electricity, electricity metering, and electric utility rate structures
  • Expertise utilizing HubSpot automation tools to improve workflow efficiency
