Intuit, a global leader in financial and business management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, self-employed entrepreneurs, consumers, and accounting professionals, is seeking a visionary Director, Product Engineering, Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP).
As a development leader, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and development of the tools to manage enterprise agile planning.
These tools enable organizations to scale their agile practices to support a holistic enterprise view that drives investments, development, and business operations.
Your role will be to own the planning, development, and deployment of EAP tools that act as a hub for defining, planning, managing, and deploying work.
You'll also have to stay up to date with the latest trends, frameworks, and platforms in the EAP tools market. You'll need to ensure that tools being deployed align with Intuit’s planning rhythm, current best practices, and take advantage of must-have capabilities such as management of strategy, investments, and objectives, and monthly, weekly, and even daily incremental value delivery based on business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of EAP tools that support a business-outcome-driven approach to managing the full life cycle of agile product delivery at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including business operations) to define requirements, design, and implement software solutions that meet the business needs of clients.
- Define and implement a product roadmap and release plan for EAP tools that is in line with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, frameworks, and platforms in the EAP tools market.
- Manage a team of developers, testers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the success of EAP tool deployment and usage.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience leading, managing and developing top engineering talent. Act as a mentor and coach engineers at all levels, helping them to grow and excel in their careers.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and project management.
- Experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid track record of delivering software projects on time and within budget.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position in the Bay Area, California is $291,000 - $393,000.
