Focusing on India priorities, initiatives and in close partnership with global DEI program team, this person should be a self-starter as a Program Lead for DEI.
In this role, you will partner with the business, HRBP and Recruiting to design and enable the DEIB charter. The role will partner with the business and HR leader to build and enable the DEI strategy by thinking big and bringing innovative, leading-edge ideas that propel our DEI work forward with long-term results in mind.
The role holder will also work with STS and DEIB ATS Leaders and HR Business partners to draft and implement the business wide DEI strategy across geographies and will proactively work towards identification and mitigation of inclusion related hotspots.
A successful candidate will have experience building effective multi-year DEI programs and exposure to DEI strategies, including full lifecycle plans in the areas of recruitment, talent management, learning, and engagement.
You should understand how these areas connect with and influence one another, and should have experience in successfully influencing cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
You should have strong project management, written communication, and analytical skills.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will :
- Define DEI - India goals, and priorities for the business. Partner with the Global DEI program leader and Business to build critical DEI priorities for the ATS Product and Tech org.
- Lead development and execution of the business DEI strategy, in close collaboration with ATS DEIB Leadership, IXT & HR Leaders, talent management, recruitment, and business partners.
- Own the DEI charter as the program manager, building alignment to a shared strategy and driving ownership of critical goals.
- Act as a DEI subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a balanced consultative and systematic approach to enable the organization to achieve measurable results.
- Deliver DEI learning and development as well as coaching, to all levels of the org. including Directors / VPs via one-to-one and group interactions.
- Influence and partner with cross functional working teams, including both HR and business team members, to launch on-time, effective programs.
- Define and measure key performance indicators by developing metrics for DEI programs and processes, aligned with business and DEI organizational objectives.
- Drive DEI goal attainment through program management and defined project plans; manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program / process rollout and ongoing support.
- Globally scale services and tools by designing mechanisms that are commensurate with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and geographic dispersion.
- Proactively identify risks / issues, providing solutions, resolving risks / issues, and overcoming hurdles to drive results.
- Provide consulting to HR Business Partners and Sr. Business leaders to develop appropriate reports, metrics and research.
Maintain DEI data integrity and report on such data teams.
- Influence global diversity strategies and practices that work across all of Amazon through collaborative partnership with the broader IXT Organization.
- Stay on top of trends, laws, and other factors influencing DEI programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 3+ years of relevant DEI experience
- Experience operating as strategic global partner for leaders
- Defining and delivering diversity, inclusion & equity strategies with significant business impact, even if not part of core responsibilities
- Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate and influence in executive spaces.
- High level understanding of how underrepresented or marginalized communities are impacted by systems and policies.
- Previous work that focuses on efforts that solve large, significantly complex, and / or highly confidential problems to surface proposals grounded in subject matter expertise and internal / external research and leading complex programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in conducting investigative work, including claimant, witness, and target employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation
- Experience developing policies and supporting documentation
- Experience in enabling and embedding world class projects across multiple businesses.
- Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is critical.
- Ability to identify and surfaces risks / opportunities in org-level strategies and makes trade-offs : business opportunity vs.
resources vs. sustainability.
