Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager

General Responsibilities :

  • Oversee projects related to Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE).
  • Manage utility records review, documentation, and coordinate with survey crews, geophysical teams, and hydro excavation.
  • Assist with proposal writing and management.
  • Define survey objectives, design survey approaches, analyze geophysical data, and interpret results.
  • Ensure projects comply with ASCE 38-22 standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
  • Oversee Leven D through A activities on medium-sized projects.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ground penetrating radar, magnetometry, terrain conductivity, and other utility locating methods.
  • Perform site visits, field observations, data collection, and supervise field staff.
  • Develop proposals, evaluate geophysical data, and review final reports and drawings.
  • Lead or participate in client meetings and oversee lower-level staff.

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in geophysics, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Willingness to travel.
