Job Summary Coordinates and supervisesthe delivery of nursing care and activities on assigned unit.Assists in developing, initiating, and supporting improvements, onthe unit level, that facilitate the delivery of high quality, safeand cost-effective patient care.

Responsible for ensuring that thehighest level of care is provided, optimizing all customerinteractions, to maximize patient satisfaction.

JobDuties Provides direct patient care along with providing directsupervision to assigned personnel, assists with orientation andintegration of new employees.

Conducts performance appraisals,monitors absenteeism, orders supplies, scheduling 24 hour staffing,patient and bed triage where appropriate.

Assists with addressingperformance problems initiating the disciplinary process asappropriate. Communicates pertinent information regarding patientcare activities and operations to appropriate personnel.

Participates in the formulation of nursing policies and goals aswell as policies affecting other departments. Communicates andinterprets policies, procedures and regulations to patients,visitors and staff members, as required.

Communicates significantissues on units to Operations Manager in a timely manner. AssistsActively support Magnet philosophies such as a healthy workenvironment, professional growth and patient and family involvementin care decisions.

Provides feedback to staff or managers forprofessional practice issues, facilitates and promotesevidence-based practices and research activities.

Serves as aresource for unit issues, mentors staff, delegates actions asappropriate and creates an environment of participation.

Ensuresthat staff meets regulatory requirements. Assures effective,efficient and cost-effective use of physical, financial and humanresources.

Assists with the prevention and resolution of patientand family concerns. Assists the operations manager in makingpatient focused service round on assigned unit.

Follows up onincidents occurring on assigned unit. Assures proper documentationand follow-through. Work is typically performed in a clinicalenvironment.

Position DetailsHours : 7am-730pm, every other weekend and holiday;

Cardiac and Leadership experience preferred.

Education Enrollment in Bachelor's Degree inRelated Field-Nursing (Required)

Experience Minimum of 2years-Nursing (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN State ofPennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification - Default IssuingBody
