COMPREHENSIVE JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE : Truck Driver - Transportation

REPORT TO : Manager of Logistics

JOB SUMMARY

Employee will deliver store materials to retail stores and pickup store returns. Will make route calls for deliveries and pick-ups.

Will also deliver and pick up wiping cloths, laundry, contract materials, and other items as assigned. Will load and unload the truck with helper's assistance.

Employee will clean up collection sites, and keep records of calls and deliveries; turning records into Manager of Logistics.

Will be responsible for maintaining the trucks oil, fuel and cleanliness; and keeping in communication with the Assistant Manager of Transportation or the Manager of Logistics by phone.

Will be responsible for tools and machines used, truck dollies, and equipment for moving and securing materials. Will be responsible for direction of the truck helper and adhering to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Transportation manual.

May assist in clean up duties on Saturdays or as needed.

Employee will work as driver's helper or on dock as needed.

Employee will be able to read standard business English, record information, and utilize basic mathematical skills.

Employee will meet the current law requirements of the Department of Transportation regarding health and safety.

Employee will adhere to Universal Precautions and contact supervisor for clean-up of any waste regulated by Blood-borne pathogens standard.

Employee will annually review the Corporate Responsibility Policy to ensure departmental compliance with it. Make suggestions for revisions, additions, etc.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE / LICENSE REQUIRED

Elementary school is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is helpful, but not required. A tow motor license is preferred, but not required.

HOURS WORKED

Employee will work full-time, normally eight hours per day, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.

NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED

May vary, but normally five days a week. May work some afternoons or weekends based on the needs of the company.

OVERTIME HOURS

Generally overtime hours are not scheduled; however, overtime may be required based on the needs of the company.
