RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Initiate and provide strategic / tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client / business area issues and in the development of a technical environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives.
• Participate in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client / business area.
• Serve as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client / business area and internal management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests.
• Provide the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the support delivery process.
• Utilize Unix / Linux, Database (Sybase / SQL / Oracle), Perl, Shell scripting, Infrastructure, and ITIL process to troubleshoot and fix production issues.
• Set up monitoring and alerts in ITRS, Splunk or other equivalent Event Management systems to proactively detect potential issues that might disrupt the operations of the lines of business supported.
• Maintain production stability by using ITIL processes such as Incident, change, release and service management practices.
• Design and develop automation tools / scripts using Perl, Shell, Java or Python scripting to provide reports / data for internal and external clients supported.
• Define, record and execute application disaster recovery / Business Continuity plans (BCP) procedures and participate annual DR exercises.
• Perform Capacity / Demand Planning forecast by analyzing current application growth trends.
• Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
• Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following :
• Utilizing Unix / Linux, Database (Sybase / SQL / Oracle), Perl, Shell scripting, Infrastructure, and ITIL process to troubleshoot and fix production issues;
