Summary :
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic team to ensure the efficient, safe, and productive operation of the distribution center.
This role encompasses oversight of shipping and receiving processes, guaranteeing that orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner.
The Operations Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Manage and supervise all warehouse personnel, ensuring safe equipment use and optimal workflow efficiency.
- Establish and maintain operational excellence practices to enhance warehouse effectiveness.
- Implement rigorous inventory management controls and processes.
- Collaborate with on-site leadership and the HR team to lead training initiatives, conduct performance reviews, and manage onboarding and offboarding procedures.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in accordance with company policies on time and attendance.
- Mentor team members to achieve performance goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with the Vice President of Operations to align on strategic initiatives and set long- and short-term goals.
- Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to identify challenges and implement solutions that maximize operational efficiency and customer value.
- Plan and execute the operational budget in collaboration with the Vice President of Operations.
- Support all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, inventory control, and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all areas are orderly and free from hazards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of four years of experience in warehouse operations and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with product lines and sales processes is preferred but not required.
- Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP / WMS / TMS systems is required.
