Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
- Treats everyone as a guest by making a good first impression, anticipating needs and displaying service recovery skills
- Demonstrates professionalism and excellence by looking professional, being accountable for actions and delivering excellence in our everyday work.
- Practices teamwork by participating in decision making and process improvement, communicating effectively and focusing on the problem / issue, not the person.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivilent required.
- Diploma / Certification from certified school of Primary Imaging Modality required.
- One (1) or more years of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Ultra Sound Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience in two (2) or more modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR, NM, US, or Cath Lab) required, acute care experience preferred.
- Current Florida Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure if required by state.
- Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required Or - must be obtained within 12 months of start date and maintained current thereafter.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
