Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Director and VP. Your main goal will be to use your experience to manage projects, as well as find and lead new opportunities for business growth
Essential Job Functions
This is a list of the most prominent duties and responsibilities.
- Follow company, client, and project rules and guidelines.
- Create estimates and project plans, including timelines, staffing, and budgets.
- Make sure projects are completed on time, within budget, and per the design.
- Meet with clients to ensure their expectations are met throughout the project.
- Manage all personnel and subcontractors for assigned projects.
- Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients.
- Handle billing and collections for projects.
- Visit project sites to check progress and address any issues.
- Ensure materials are procured and delivered on time.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and coworkers.
- Offer innovative solutions and improve project processes.
- Provide feedback and reports to the Director or VP.
- Forecast project finances and manage review processes.
- Mentor and guide team members and junior staff.
- Keep learning and improving your skills.
- Ensure job site safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in industry and community events.
- Prepare Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
Education & Experience
REQUIRED
- Strong experience in electrical contracting project management.
- Understanding of electrical installations.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong computer skills.
- Understanding of billing and collections.
- Great communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- OSHA 30-hour certification within the first year.
PREFERRED
- College degree, journeyman's license, or master electrician's license
- 8 years or more in mission critical / data center project management
- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project and on screen takeoff.
