About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM (10-hour shift), one night on-call, one weekend on-call approximately every 5 weeks Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of one year experience in CVOR with exposure to open heart procedures, valve replacement and creation, bypass, endovascular, and open vascular cases License : Certification as a Surgical Technologist Certifications : Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program Must-Have : At least one year of experience in the specified CVOR procedures Job Description : - Perform a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to surgeons and nurses.
- Assist in operation room preparation by setting up and organizing instruments and supplies. - Ensure all equipment is functioning properly prior to start of procedure.
- Adhere to surgical policies and procedures to maintain sterile field. - Demonstrate knowledge of surgical techniques used in the clinical area.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
