About The Position
A hospital is seeking a CRNA for locum tenens coverage.
Mason City, Iowa offers award-winning attractions, one-of-a-kind shops, eateries, and fabulous shopping all blended with rich history and stunning architecture.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with rare instances of being asked to stay late. Coverage is sporadic and ongoing, with the facility confirming one week at a time.
The role involves using Cerner and paper charting systems. Most severely ill pediatric cases and complicated traumas are typically transferred out, and there is always a physician on second call for backup in case of patient volume overlap or handling complex traumas.
The types of cases include OB, general surgery, GI, bariatric, urology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiothoracic, and some ENT (most ENT cases are handled at a local ASC), as well as some pediatric cases.
For weekend call coverage, the candidate must be comfortable handling OB / epidurals, some trauma, some spine, simple pediatric cases, and other standard cases, but no heart surgeries are required.
